United 93

A Short Review of United 93

One of the most difficult movies to create and sell to movie going public has to be a movie about a true event that almost everyone knows about and knows how the event ends.

The Passion of the Christ is a good example of a movie subject that was difficult to sell to the public, because most people in this country (America) knew the plot. We knew who won, (Jesus Christ) who lost (The Devil) and who cares (Millions care).

But we flocked to the movie houses to see the Passion of Christ.

The passion of Christ was a difficult subject for a movie, but Mel Gibson did a remarkable job with the movie and the subject.

It was good to see Hollywood throwing a hissy fit…. “to think… that someone would dare release a film that was not anti-American, pro-homosexual, or one with gratuitous nudity and foul language. The movie did quite well and has netted Mel Gibson and friends almost ¾ of a billion dollars.

United 93 faced the same obstacles of film making, and failed miserably.

Yes United 93 is a fair movie, but there is not one event in the movie as portrayed that I didn’t already know about. In this modern day it is hard to hide anything from the ones who want to know. There was nothing new in this film, and it was like any other plane going down movie, the made for TV specials. There was nothing creative in the fight scenes as portrayed in this movie. For years I had visualized in my mind scenes that could have happened on that tragic day. My visions are just as valid as anyone’s, but my vision of those last minutes include some heroic acts done by my fellow countrymen and women. This movie does not attempt to show Americans as heroic, brave or daring. Almost everyone; the flight controllers, military personal, airplane crew and even the passengers were portrayed as bungling Americans. The only character in the film that was not presented as a bungling idiot was the handsome killer of islam who flew the jetliner after the pilot and co-pilot were murdered.

I was also extremely disappointed for another reason, and for that reason I recommend you and your family spend your hard earned money for something other than this movie.

Not once did the terrorists say the word ALLAH, and the subtitles when the killers were speaking Arabic, and praying never used the word allah…They prayed to the ‘Lord’…….

The word LORD appeared in the subtitles…..instead of allah….It was Lord have your way….not allah have your way. Muslims don’t call allah, lord, savior or love. I call my God love, Lord and God’s son, Savior.

Allah is not the LORD, allah cannot be portrayed as a Lord. A Lord does not want people to commit suicide to kill infidels. The Lord wants us to tell the muslim world about God’s love.. There is nothing lovable about allah to the world or even to muslims.

Islam…. is a religion of death, killing and perversion, It enslaves rather than frees, and you only have to look around the world to see that I am right.

So it seemed like the hijacker/terrorists/swine that are portrayed in this film got a free ride. They were not portrayed as shouting “allah akbar”, or whatever islamofacists shout when they are on a blood lust murdering spree. You know, when they video themselves crudely sawing off the head of an infidel, or killing large numbers of handcuffed prisoners. Allah the spawn of Satan was not identified or sourced.

It was almost as if ……My Lord, and Saviour was involved…..to suggest that these pigsucking murderers were calling out to the Lord, was totally ridiculous. They were doing all of this killing in the name of allah, and they would not have used any other word than allah, so this portrayal is phony and misleading.

Save your money, send the $20-$50 it would take for tickets, popcorn and sodas, and send it to a good military charity. Any filmmaker so afraid of the killers of islam, as to not even include the shouts of ‘allah’ while the islamists murder, is a coward, and I don’t like giving my hard earned money to cowards.

This movie review was written by someone who goes to a Hollywood produced movie once or twice a decade. I suggest you do the same……..

You know the ending; you know who did it, and who stood up to say “Let’s Roll”

Save your money.

Thanks for the info. I will save my money.

''The Passion'' WAS a masterpiece. (Too bad some people had to make something political out of it).

hmm. It seems that "lord" or "god" is actually the English translation of the word "allah." If we are seeing subtitles, I would assume the written words would be in OUR language...so it doesn't seem out of line to me. However, knowing that you are an educated person, as well as a bit of a debator, I researched my thought.

I found this quote at http://www.bible.ca/islam/islam-allah-pre-islamic-origin.htm

~Although "Allah" has become known as the proper name for the Muslim god, Allah is not a name, but a descriptor that means literally, "the god". All pagan cultures have these generic terms that refer to their "top god" as "the god". In comparison to the perfect monotheism of Judaism and Christianity, "Allah" was originally no more a proper name for the Muslim God, than the word Hebrew "elohim" (god) or Greek "theos" (god) are proper names of the one true God of the Bible. "Jehovah" is the only revealed proper name for the "Elohim" of the Old Testament ( Ex 3:13; 6:3) and "Jesus" is the only revealed proper name of "Theos" in the New Testament. (Acts 4:12) Islam has no proper name for their god, but merely transformed, by universal use and confusion, the generic Allah into a proper name. So although today, Muslims use "Allah" as a proper name, it was never used this way originally. Allah, therefore is equivalent to "elohim" and "ho theos" but not "Jehovah" or "Jesus". Allah is not the name of the nameless Muslim God. However Muslims will claim that Allah is the name of God that corresponds to Jehovah. Both the Father and the Son are called "ho theos" (The God). Jesus is called "The God" many times in the New Testament: John 20:28; Heb 1:8. An important conclusion from this, is that the mere fact that "Allah" is equivalent to "elohim" and "ho theos" does not mean they are directly corresponded. It certainly doesn’t prove Allah is the same as the God of the Old or New Testament. It does not prove that Muslim’s worship the same God as Christians. If this correspondence proved the Muslim god was the same as the Christian God, then because pagan religions also have generics that correspond to "the god" (Allah), this correspondence would also prove that Allah is the same god as the Buddhist god, for Buddhists also refer to their god as "the god". ~

I do thank you Helena for continuing to read one of my blog articles at this obscure blog.

Sometimes we overstudy a subject and forget that our body has a soul, and that soul is Gods Creation.

Allah is not God, and that is all I need to say, other than I worship God, nothing else, God the Father of my Saviour Jesus Christ.

One thing that seperates the two clashing cultures is Love.

My God is a God of Love.

Yes, By HIS DIVINE WORD, some must perish after they die, but everyone has an opportunity to live for ever with the one who invented LIFE AS WE KNOW IT.

I am not trying to kill all those that don't recognize and worship my God, I love them as God has taught me too, and hope they live long enough to accept God's only Begotten Son's Sacrifice.
